Quality control at each stage in the production process is a crucial factor in the manufacturing of the very best alcoholic beverages with the finest flavours. This starts with strict supervision of the quality of the glassware and caps, analysing the pure alcohol which is used as a basis for most brands and checking its flavour, and subsequently monitoring and registering each addition in the distillery. All Hooghoudt products fulfil the most stringent quality requirements, and the company is HACCP certified. This is an inventory of the hazards for alimentary products (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) compiled by the European Union. The Commodities Act also sets clearly-defined requirements for the composition with respect to alcohol content, sugar content, water content, and the nature of the extracts and herbs used. The product can only be sold if it complies with all these quality requirements.
